The Pace of Play was HORRIBLE!!!
It's bad for the golfer when course manager is greeeeedy.
I played once in June, July, and August 2010, and it just got worse and worse!! I had played this track hundreds of times in the last 15 years and NEVER have i seen it in such dried out, dead, ugly, condition, and that is just the greens! Dont get me started on the fairways and tee boxes.
Old Orchard Country Club has gone down hill after the new management came in this season. Mr. B should stay in the club reconditioning buisness and out of the course!!! Just like his last venture in Toms River, he should be out of Old Orchard by next season, back to being a wannna-be club maker. If not he should think about maybe putting some $$ into the course ASAP. What a shame that a nice place to play is now a dog track. Other members want him and his gang of broken english idiots out!!! The Wanna-Be Sopranos bring a bad element to the classy game of golf...

Rather dried out on the date played, but certain areas spongy and wet. Greens inconsistent.

They have lost their fairways and greens. Course superintendent and management talks a good game , but conditions seem to be getting worse.

The Design and Layout of the course is a golfers challenge. It plays fun for the weekend warrior, but challenges real players. The staff is great! The mood is easy, and there is plenty of beautiful wildlife to see. There are some really great holes testing your shot making abilities, and bring your 14 clubs this is not a Driver to Wedge course. I have played with my golf-buddy at least 100 times over the past years, and its getting better now. Now that "Mr. B" and the Grounds crew have put the love back into it, the Old Course is starting to look great. If you haven't played in a while give it a shot. When You tee it up on Hole One, just know, Bogey is a great score.

Very nice conditions but they book too many golfers too close together or maybe some of the golfers do not know how to keep moving along

My group played this course for the first time the price was 70 dollars and at first it seamed ok after playing we noticed the grass was cut off the fairways to high and all the clumps of grass were just left down making it near impossible to hit from the rough , the course was in dry condition , the layout is nice and it has a lot of potential , the overall course layout is nice , i just feel the price is too high , this course should be priced at 55 with a cart during the weekend there would be a lot more players willing to play here for that price
